CHA Systems Provides Carrier Access Billing Services for Edison Carrier Solutions
Dallas, August 30, 2000 - CHA Systems Inc. today announced that Edison Carrier Solutions (ECS),
a business unit of Southern California Edison (SCE), is utilizing CHA Systems' carrier access
billing services (CABS) to bill large carriers for the use of their high-bandwidth fiber optic
facilities. Edison Carrier Solutions provides wholesale special access circuits to local and
long distance companies, wireless carriers, Internet service providers, cable television
companies and other communication companies.
"We considered purchasing CHA Systems' CABS software because it has attributes that are very
important to us," said Mr. John Thompson, Systems Manager for Edison Carrier Solutions. "As
customer demand significantly increased during the passed two quarters, we decided to team
with CHA Systems for a service bureau billing solution to leverage their extensive CABS
experience, to accelerate our billing implementation and allow us to keep our staffing
requirements to a minimum. By understanding the specific needs of our customers, CHA Systems'
professional staff has enabled a smooth transition to our new billing platform."
